Instrument: 7-key Flute in C, boxwood with ivory rings and silver keys, with 3 corps de rechange (numbers 4, 5, and 6), c. 1815

Maker: W. Milhouse, London / 337 Oxford STT - William Milhouse was at this address from 1797-1822 and this flute probably dates to the earlier part of that time period.

Notes: a very fine flute in a late Classical style. It has a unlined head joint and beautiful keywork. Box has original Milhouse paper label. Keys are like an 8-key, minus the long F.
