Raver 5-Key flute with matching 4-key piccolo

Raver, Bordeaux. 5-Key flute, (1836-37)  ebony with silver keys and rings and matching 4-key piccolo. Interestingly the pitch is A=440.

This set also includes an interesting case with a clever mechanism for holding the parts. These instruments originally belonged to Bernard Hautre who was flutist in the Bordeaux “Orchestre du Grand Theatre” in the 1830s.
