Instrument: Anon 1-key flute in D, boxwood with Ivory rings and a Silver key
Maker: I assume this is an English flute based on various aspects of the style, 2nd half of the 18thC.
Pitch: A=425-430
SL:
Notes: This is a very fine playing and interesting flute. It appears and plays like a flute from the 2nd half of the 18thC. It does however have a 1 piece right hand. Normally there would be one part for the three finger holes and another for the foot. This sort of design became popular on small English flutes in the area of 1840. This can’t be a flute from the 1840s...
Restorer: as received (key currently has no spring)
